How To Measure Your Dog's Paws!
Proper footwear fit is essential to a fun day out (or in). Here's how to measure your pet's paws...
With your pet's paw on the ground, measure from the tip of the claws (those have to fit inside the shoe too) to the back of where the paw touches the ground, which is just behind the pad.
While your pet's paw is still on the ground, measure from side to side at the widest point of your pet's paw, which is usually near the base of the toes.
Handy Tip: Try having your pet step on a piece of paper, then trace around the paw. Then, while your pet is off eating your houseplants or terrorizing the neighborhood, you can measure the traced outline in peace.
How To Measure Your Dog!
I have worked with the finest furry tailors in the world, and am here to share my bounty of knowledge. Here's how to measure your pet...
Measure from the base of the tail (where it connects to the hindquarters) up to where the collar typically sits at the base of the neck, then follow up with a generous back scratch.
This is measured by giving your pet a
hug, during which you measure the entire circumference (all the way around) at the widest point of your pet's chest. This is typically right behind the front legs.
First, plenty of kisses. Then, measure the neck's circumference
(the distance around it) at the point where the collar sits.
Important Sizing Note: The given measurements are the dimensions of the actual product, not of the pet they fit. After measuring your pet, make sure all measurements fit within the following dimensions (with a little room to spare in the chest and neck).

Yes, Judy B recommends this product!
As he got older, my now 12-yr-old, 100 lb Basset Hound (yep, 100 lbs), Bailey, had more and more trouble getting into even the floorboard of the backseat of my Expedition, much less onto the backseat like he did when he was younger. I was also afraid he would hurt his back or a leg trying to exit the the SUV, and he was afraid to jump down. I bought a ramp for him, but Bailey wouldn't go near it for any amount of bacon. When I saw the One Step Pet Step, I thought, "Maybe". I bought it, and the first time I tried it, Bailey, with no hesitation, stepped up on it and into the floorboard of my SUV like he had done it all his life. I do move my front seat forward so Bailey has plenty of room to step into the floorboard, then he manages to haul himself onto the seat. The One-Step Pet Step is so easy. It is fairly light weight, yet holds 100 pounds of Basset Hound without a problem. There is no unfolding or adjusting. Just put on the ground, and let your dog do the rest.
