How To Measure Your Dog's Paws!
Proper footwear fit is essential to a fun day out (or in). Here's how to measure your pet's paws...
With your pet's paw on the ground, measure from the tip of the claws (those have to fit inside the shoe too) to the back of where the paw touches the ground, which is just behind the pad.
While your pet's paw is still on the ground, measure from side to side at the widest point of your pet's paw, which is usually near the base of the toes.
Handy Tip: Try having your pet step on a piece of paper, then trace around the paw. Then, while your pet is off eating your houseplants or terrorizing the neighborhood, you can measure the traced outline in peace.
How To Measure Your Dog!
I have worked with the finest furry tailors in the world, and am here to share my bounty of knowledge. Here's how to measure your pet...
Measure from the base of the tail (where it connects to the hindquarters) up to where the collar typically sits at the base of the neck, then follow up with a generous back scratch.
This is measured by giving your pet a
hug, during which you measure the entire circumference (all the way around) at the widest point of your pet's chest. This is typically right behind the front legs.
First, plenty of kisses. Then, measure the neck's circumference
(the distance around it) at the point where the collar sits.
Important Sizing Note: The given measurements are the dimensions of the actual product, not of the pet they fit. After measuring your pet, make sure all measurements fit within the following dimensions (with a little room to spare in the chest and neck).

This Push Pushi Dog Raincoat has a sturdy rain hood that protects your dog from the rain without flattening his/her ears. The clear visor won't impair your pet's vision and the spring-wired design holds its shape.
The hood can be detached with the snaps or you can fold it back to secure it with the magnets down the back. Use the button hole opening to connect a leash to a harness or collar or use the included D-ring that is reinforced for durability.
This rain jacket for dogs is easy to apply with touch fastener at the neck and chest. The adjustable chest strap provides a secure and better fit.
The water-resistant nylon shell features a fleece lining to keep your pet warm.
The chest sizing is important but also consider the length to ensure your pup has good protection from the rain. Available in a wide range of sizes and colors so the whole pack can stay warm and dry.

It's one of the best raincoats for dogs I've ever gotten. The hood is well above the head so it doesn't bother Chloe at all. It also extends far enough out to keep the rain away from her face and head. The coat itself is lightly lined so with the hood off it makes a great windbreaker. Unfortunately it runs very large. I got a small for my Pomeranian and she was swimming in it. I'm going to reorder both an x-small and an xx-small and see which one fits best.

This rain coat is so cute! Of course it hasn't rained since I bought it so we haven't gotten to really try it out but just having it on my dog in the house she seems to like it. I love that the hood stays up and doesn't actually touch her head so it doesn't bother her. All other rain coats I've had my dog just shakes the hood off immediately. This one she acts like there is no hood and walks around as normal. The materials used are really nice and it seems made very well.

My first thought was to cut out the faux-fleece lining, as I need this for the summer weather. And then I thought I can use it in Fall, Winter, and Spring with the lining, so better to keep it in and let the dog be hot in the summer (?) Here's an idea: have the faux-fleece lining removable! Just like in people raincoats : ) The snap-off hood is great. The magnetic hood closure not so good: it covers up both the harness slit opening and the D-ring tab, making leash maneuvers impossible. Also, when the hood is held down in place magnetically, two things need to happen: 1 - the center top of the hood needs a tie, or a snap closure to keep it compressed. 2 - with a compressed hood tied down, or held in place with a snap closure, you could access the harness slit, or D-ring tab, by making a slit(s) in the back of the hood. It's the only way to then allow the leash to move freely. Lastly, there's nowhere to put the 'extra' bellyband length when adjusting for a smaller dog.

back for another purchase after buying several different items today, I found an item I love using on my dogs and needed another and found it here on baxterboo for $18.00 less then what I paid at my groomer's. This really is a fantastic place to shop and I suggest that you buy what you have in your cart while you have it, things sell out quickly however, they do alert you when items are back in-stock and offer you a generous discount.
